Backgammon is one of the oldest known games in history, believed to have its roots in the Middle East thousands of years ago.The basic rules are simple, roll the dice and for each die move one of your checkers as many pips as the die indicates, a player who rolls doubles moves two times for each die. You are not allowed to move any checker to a pip that your opponent occupies with two checkers or more.

A single opponent checker in the way of the move is placed on the bar in the middle of the board. Checkers on the bar must be moved into the board before any other checkers may be moved. The winner is the one who first moves all his/her checkers off the board.The mobile game Backgammon is based on the microμ platform, offering ingame chat and lobby functionality. Backgammon supports multiplayer for two players and also includes a singleplayer engine with medium skill.
