百战天虫-世界派对的大部分内容和情节是从PC 版本的游戏改编而成的。与以前一样，你将享受到的是一款2D策略游戏，首先你要先建立蠕虫部队，然后指挥你的部队除掉地图中的其他蠕虫。为了消除那些肮脏的侵略者，你需要应用不同的武器，如散弹猎枪、火箭筒、手榴弹，还有其他的一些疯狂武器如神圣手榴弹、老虫虫的自杀性爆炸等。在你的蠕虫部队开始行动前，要挥舞你的旗帜，喷射颜色让树着色来解救加利福尼亚当地的侦探人员，进行游戏的时候要确保所有的蠕虫不被伤害。
游戏中你会发现有许许多多的新的好玩的东西。即使是游戏老手也可以获得新的乐趣，你仍可以在游戏中磨练你的战斗能力。在游戏中不同的任务需要应用不同的武器，这样会使你了解武器，选择不同的敌人，采取不同的战术。
